Artist’s Seaglass Collectors
Artist’s Seaglass Collectors
Although Trish takes time in the summer to travel to different Canadian shorelines to collect sea treasures, it’s still not easy being a Seaglass artist in Alberta! Luckily she’s made friends with a few Seaglass collectors from one Canadian Coast to the other. Here are some of the collectors who help keep her Seaglass supply plentiful.

Audrey has been a devoted Seaglass collector for many many years. The majority of her Seaglass comes from the beaches close to her Halifax home as well as Prince Edward Island, northern New Brunswick and from Cape Breton Nova Scotia. She loves to go hunting for treasures with her husband Al. She is also a talented artist specializing in Seaglass Jewlery and Seaglass Lanterns.

Originally from Newfoundland, Kathy moved to Glacé Bay, Nova Scotia in 2020. she enjoys her walks on the beach. One day, she noticed people picking stuff up from the sand and placing it into cups. Curious, she asked them what they were collecting. They showed her that their cups were full of beautiful Seaglass! That’s when they explained to her “That’s what a lot of us do out here.” And just like that, Kathy started to find her own Seaglass. She decided to sell her collections to others, one of her clients being Art by Trish Mireau so that Trish can continue to make her unique works of art.

Susan is an avid Seaglass hunter and along with Seaglass comes lots of pottery pieces. Susan has friends who fall in love with the pottery pieces when she finds them and so she keeps bringing the pieces home. The majority of her pottery pieces now comes from the Caribbean and she incorporate them in her Seaglass creations. The pottery seems to be a beautiful by product of her Seaglass hunting.

Betty-Lou has been collecting Seaglass for 40 years and is a self-proclaimed “Crazy-Seaglass Lady”. She may be in her 70’s but you can still find her scaling cliffs all around PEI, sliding down banks and hopping over rocks just to get to her many secret Seaglass “sweet” spots. She likes to Seaglass on solo adventures but has the best time searching with her grandsons. Betty-Lou’s Seaglass is what founded Art by Trish Mireau and still helps keep Trish’s stock nice and plentiful to this day.
